About Alan

On December 23, 2004, Alan was on his way home to spend Christmas with family. At 7:00am that morning, while crossing the street, he was struck and killed by a motor vehicle. As anyone can imagine this tragic event has left our entire family at a huge loss.

Alan had many talents. He was a great guitarist and loved the blues. He especially loved all the "old guys," as we used to call them. He was a gifted artist and over the years had created his own family of cartoon characters. But his greatest talent was the way he crawled into your heart with a simple grin. He was very quiet, but said so much with just that one look. He spent his entire adult life trying to figure out who he was and what exactly his purpose was on this earth.

He fought many personal demons and just a few years ago he claimed his victory. He never said "goodbye" or "see ya." As he walked out the door he'd ALWAYS say.......

" Hey don't forget me..."

We think about him every day.

I can envision the day when all material things are pulled from me, and then the stronger my soul shall be." ~ Jimi Hendrix, 1969
